Saw a story this morning on the Today Show about this guy who saved his dog from the jaws of a seven foot alligator and lost the tips of two fingers in the process. At first I felt all warm and fuzzy inside at his incredible love for his pup, but then as the story progressed, the truth came out. The alligator lives in the water that butts right up against his fenceless backyard, and until now, it had never attacked anyone or any animal in the neighborhood. It was when his dog strolled over to the edge of the water that the alligator got him.
Okay, maybe it’s just me, but if I KNEW there was an alligator living basically in my backyard, well…first of all, I wouldn’t be LIVING there. But if I DID, I would either have a very strong fence around my yard OR never let my dog go outside!!!
