Quick everyone! Go put yourself into more debt during this recession by purchasing the ‘limited time only’ release of Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs in a dual DVD/Blu-Ray combo before it’s ‘locked in the vault’ for the 5th time in the past 30 years!
Yes, just as I finally finished replacing all my Disney VHS classics to DVD when Jungle Book was finally reissued last year, Disney began the move to Blu-Ray. Now exactly how much MORE digitally restored can these cartoons get??? I see some continuously manipulated data seriously about to be corrupted because these things have been ‘digitally restored and remastered’ approximately 4 times each since the inception of VHS 30 years ago.
Sorry Disney. DVD is digital enough for me. I’m done ‘upgrading.’ There are more important things I need to do with my money these days. Heck, the entire Michael Jackson catalog might be digitally remastered on CD any day now with even more previously unreleased tracks not included on the last two remasters!!!
